THE PROJECT
MASTHEAD
The Weaving Knight is the pet-project of Travis. He founded the site as a review blog on the recommendation of a friend as a way to practice writing on a daily basis sometime in early 2011. He liked it so much that it solidified into an actual website in June 2011, and he began formulating ideas for what the future would hold by early 2012.
Right now, The Weaving Knight is a review blog/indie SF/F zine. The reviews are all over the place; we publish film, print, game, and tech reviews, but the fiction has a specific purpose. We want to publish fiction that employs unusual and thought-provoking protagonists. What the future holds is on a scrap of paper in Travis' wallet. That paper makes him feel better, since otherwise, the thing is empty and flat.
In 2012, we expanded to begin a podcast with a very specific purpose: to review and analyze videogame novel spin-offs as "actual" literature. These episodes come in bunches of three every few months, and we're always on the look out for new co-hosts, suggestions, and even call-in questions.
